Adria Supertwin – Sprinter Panoramic Skylight

Adria are first to market with a panoramic skylight in the Mercedes Sprinter 907. Fiat have had it for a while (again an Adria patent) but this is the one I’v been waiting for! I daren’t even look at the starting on-the-road price!

Anyone who has experienced this high-level, forward-facing window will really appreciate this innovation on the Mercedes Sprinter 907 platform. When you’ve got all the other blinds and/or curtains closed in the campervan but can still see out that skylight at the front without anyone else seeing in it’s ace! It’s what I had in Walt and is the thing I miss most about that conversion!

But the new Adria Supertwin on the 4×4 Mercedes Sprinter 907 chassis has got it all. Especially on the MWB chassis. As here you have everything you could need for up to 4 intrepid travellers (although you have to sacrifice that lovely front skylight if you go down the pop-top route.

And of course with Adria Mobil you get the superb build quality of a company that has been in the business of making caravans and campervans since 1965 so there’s a great sense of reliability and great thinking that runs through the entire stable of the modern-day Adria offering.

And the Supertwin is no different. Look at that beautiful choice of colours, textures and textiles. A really lovely fleck grey stretch fabric lines the side walls. That lovely dark wood veneer lines that dividing walls between ‘rooms’. That lovely dark, sleek and slender counter-top. The same lovely dark veneer covers the overhead locker doors…

Hmmm, it all reminds me of something rather close to my heart! Still very proud of the interior design on this one…

Back to the Adria Supertwin though – the new 907 Sprinter 4×4 platform doesn’t roll off the factory line cheap, and in fact Adria haven’t been able to start their on-the-road prices below £100k! However there are plenty of other premium brands touting similar wagons at the same level – think Hymer Grand Canyon, Malibu Genius – but then also many of the more bespoke providers too are now basing conversions on this platform too. In the UK the standout contender is Project Yonder. Their Nomad 4X truly is one of the best conversion on the MWB 4×4 platform I have seen.
