Campervan / Motorhome = Camperhome
There’s a new trend in town, and while the term is yet to be coined there are lots of great new examples of models to consider in the low profile/slimline/compact motorhome category.
The Camperhome Form
In essence what this new form does is give a truly square shape to the rear of a panel van. To a motorhome user this obviously comes at the cost of the interior width they may be used to enjoying but for many of us campervan fanatics there’s the luxury of more space on what is effectively the same platform.
Camperhomes: all the Campervan Benefits Without the Motorhome Shortcomings
So we get the compact nature that we know and love so well but we also get all the benefits of the insulation of a motorhome rear cabin and without the concerns of the extra width which would of course make us less likely to jump in our beloveds at the drop of a hat and dash up into the hills for a cup of tea or dinner with a view.
Let’s take a look at the current stable of streamlined camperhomes:
Ok there’s a lot here, and maybe you can tell that I quite like the form, but what’s nice to see in this mix is manufacturers trying to finally do something a little more interesting with both the exterior and (hopefully) the interior to appeal to a younger-minded market. Let’s take a look at some stats and specs.
